Join me in conversation with Author, Management Guru and Public Intellectual Gurcharan Das in this Independence Day special conversation. Join us as we discuss: 1. What it takes to build a great life? 2. How has India fared as an independent nation? 3. Are we well prepared for a future that requires agility and innovation? 4.Does India's philosophical richness give us a stronger foot in the future
Future of Work Show Ep.8: The Future of Diversity and Inclusion
In this episode, Anuranjita Kumar and I touch some very foundational (and sometimes sensitive) topics around Diversity. 1. We will talk about why the workforce participation rates in India are falling despite so much talk around DnI. 2. We will speak about how women's experience of the workplace can be rather different from mens. 3. We will speak about diversity beyond gender. Should religion and caste matter? Or is it a double edged sword? 4. And finally we speak about the diversity of views and experiences that cannot be easily labeled. Join us for this very honest discussion.
Future of Work Show Ep.5: Leading Change in India
Join us in conversation with Rajeev Dubey, Ex-CHRO Mahindra Group, as we talk about what it means for Indian Organizations to prepare themselves for a fast changing future. Now, we all know that the Mahindra Rise Capmpaign was one of the most successful internal and external Campaigns that prepared the Organization for a new phase in its journey. "Rise means constantly challenging conventions and thinking alternatively"! Easy to say and very very hard to do. So join us as we ask Mr. Rajeev Dubey a few not-so easy questions around the thinking, the gains and the challenges of Organizational Change.
Future of Work Show Ep.4: Liquid Organizations
2020 has been such an unusual year. The Pandemic and global lockdown has meant that leadership teams and organizations have had to re-think--everything. There are some leadership teams that have done this far better than others, and today we have Prof. Arun Sharma from Miami Business School with us to talk about what this has meant. The four not-so-easy questions we discuss are: 1. What was so interesting about the problem of organizational adaptation that Prof. Sharma, who was originally in the marketing area decided to explore a problem that was very organizational? 2. Prof. Sharma has been studying the response of leadership teams through the Pandemic, what kinds of responses were effective? How did those teams organize themselves? 3. As the Pandemic progressed, did it become harder to carry on with these innovative responses? What came in the way? 4. What can this tell us about the widening gap between more and less "liquid" organizations?
Future of Work Show, Ep 3: The Design of Thinking
If there is one thing 2020 has taught us--it is about the importance of being able to think differently, and hopefully--better! Yet this isn't very easy to do. Our old habits and mindsets hold us back. In this conversation with Vijay Ghei, we explore how design thinking can "free" our minds and help us be innovative. We also explore the big challenges in being able to do so.
Future of Work Show, Ep. 2 AI and Human Careers
75% of Millennials and Gen Zs in India worry about how Industry 4.0 is going to impact their careers. Far more than the global average anywhere else. Watch Jaspreet Bindra and me discuss what might be the impact of AI on Human Jobs. This is a recording of a LinkedIn Live Discussion on July 11, 2020
